These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Chatzo ("Service") operated by Chatzo ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Account registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Send spam, unsolicited messages, or harassing content
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others
  • Generate or distribute illegal, harmful, or deceptive content
  • Circumvent usage limits, security measures, or access controls

3. Your content

You retain ownership of content you upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service. You represent that you have the right to upload and use Your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or third-party rights.

4. Live chat and widget data

When you embed our chat widget on your website, we collect conversation data between your visitors and your team. You are responsible for informing your visitors about data collection in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

5. Subscription and billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance unless otherwise agreed.
  • You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your dashboard.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis for annual plans.
  • We may change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

6. Free tier

The Free plan includes usage limits as described on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify Free tier limits with reasonable notice.

7. Widget and embed code

When you embed our chat widget, contact forms, or popups on your website, you are responsible for compliance with applicable privacy laws and for obtaining any required consent from your visitors.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or proprietary technology except as needed to use the Service.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Chatzo is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
